Sunday Worship

All are Welcome

The weekly gathering for worship at 10:00 a.m. Sunday is in many ways the heart of our life together as a faith community, a time and place for all generations to gather for a celebration of God’s presence through prayer, scripture, silence and song.

Join us after the service for coffee and refreshments.

  • A welcoming community: the Sunday gathering at St. Andrew’s is a relaxed, visitor-friendly and open experience.
  • An intergenerational gathering: the opening movement of our worship is designed to be child-friendly, including a “learning together” time particularly for them.
  • Our Sanctuary has a children's room for babies and toddlers as well as big kids, for parents to use as needed.
  • Children of the church are welcome to include both in the family portion of services, as well as in the children's room directly in the sanctuary.
  • A multi-media presentation: the order of service, prayers, scripture readings, and hymns are digitally projected on two large screens.
  • A musical experience: our faith story is explored, expressed and celebrated through congregational song and through the choir’s anthems.
  • A focus on scripture: the themes explored in each week’s worship rise from readings drawn from the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures.
  • A time for reflection: the reflection or sermon time invites us to connect our own stories with the stories of scripture.
  • A time of prayer: finding ways to bring to God, through words and silence, the things that matter most.
  • A sacramental experience: all are welcome as we gather around the table on the first Sunday of each month for Communion. Periodically, Children and Adults are welcomed into the family of faith through the Sacrament of Baptism.
  • A welcoming community: following the closing hymn the gathered community re-forms downstairs in the church hall for coffee, goodies and a lively time of conversation.
